Nurdan Arca organized the first short film festival in Turkey in 1968. She received her BA in Economics from Robert College- İstanbul after which she joined the Ph.D program on the regional development at Brunel University in London in 1971.

She came back to İstanbul after the military coup of 1971. She completed her MA in Political Economy at Istanbul University and stopped writing her PhD after the military coup in 1980. Arca wrote articles for Milliyet Art Magazine between 1984 and1986. Her first 22- minute long documentary was about the imprisonment years of Turkish painter Orhan Taylan in 1986-87. Arca founded Ajans 21 as an independent documentary production company with Melek Taylan in 1992 and produced & directed documentaries within this company ever since.

Melek Taylan graduated from the American College for Girls (Robert College) in Istanbul in 1965. Entered the Department of English Literature of Istanbul University in 1967. In 1971, Taylan left Turkey to live in Geneva, Amsterdam and Bologna. She returned to Turkey in 1974 and graduated from the Department of English Literature of Istanbul University. Taylan joined the Middle East Technical University ( Ankara) Department of Humanities as an English language instructor in 1976. Taylan received her MA in International Relations at the faculty of Political Science (Ankara). In Istanbul, she worked as a press and PR consultant of the Agha Han Foundation. Taylan also worked as a simultaneous translator with the Association of Simultaneous Translators in 1985. She founded Ajans 21 as an Independent Documentary Film Company with associate Nurdan Arca, in 1992. She is now making documentary films in Ajans 21 and has produced three feature length documentary films so far.

After his studies in Cinema – Television at Galatasaray University he worked for the program 5N1K of CNNTürk TV. He received his MA in Cinema- TV AND New Medias at Sorbonne University in Paris. Organized Sorbonne Cinema- TV Production Workshop in Istanbul with the support of Istanbul2010. He has been working as executer producer in Ajans 21 since 2008.

Gültekin was born in Istanbul in 1984. As an amateur photographer she participated in some expositions in IFSAK. She took part in some short film projects. She continues her studies in Cinema- Tv at the Department of Communications in University of Galatasaray. Since fall 2008 she is working as an assistant in Ajans 21.
