The Friends’ Theater [Dostların Tiyatrosu]
Adventure of Dostlar Tiyatrosu, one of the oldest private theaters in Turkey, throughout its history of 30 years since 1969, is narrated by its actors. . The story of Dostlar Tiyatrosu covering a period of 30 years with 44 plays performed and 41 prices and awards won in various categories is actually the tragicomic story of Turkey as represented by the theater itself which faced numerous law enforcement inquisitions and bans over a period during which two military coups, one occurred soon after the theater was opened and the other about ten years after the first, dictated the rule.
